Differin 0.1% Adapalene Vitamin A 30g Cream / Gel
Differin (Adapalene) works by increasing the turnover of skin cells. This aids the natural exfoliation of the surface layer of skin and helps to unblock the pores and sebaceous glands (the glands that produce sebum, the skin’s natural oil), allowing the sebum to escape. It reduces the formation of blackheads and spots.
Adapalene also acts as an anti-inflammatory, reducing redness and swelling in the skin.

What is the difference between gel and cream?
Both Differin cream and gel both contain adapalene 0.1%, which is a retinoid medicine – a derivative of vitamin A.
The only difference is that the cream delivers the product in an oily carrier which helps to moistures the skin (Especially if you have a dry skin) but the gel is using a water based carrier and is suitable if you use other moisturisers or have an oily skin.
How to apply the Differin cream ?
Differin cream or gel should be applied thinly once a day before going to bed.
▪️ Clean and dry the skin thoroughly before applying Differin. Use a mild cleanser and pat rather than rub the skin dry. Using clean fingertips, apply enough Differin to thinly cover the area affected by acne (for example your whole face, not just individual spots or blackheads). Then wash your hands.
▪️ Don’t apply Differin to broken, sunburnt or sensitive areas of skin, or skin affected by eczema. Also take care to avoid getting it on your eyelids or lips, or in your eyes, nose or mouth. If you accidentally get the cream or gel on these areas, wash it off with warm water.
▪️ If you want to apply moisturisers or cosmetics, wait until the Differin has been absorbed into your skin.
▪️ Don’t apply Differin more than once a day; this won’t make it any more effective or work any quicker. It may also make your skin very red or irritated or start peeling.
